2017 World Series was the 113th edition of Major League Baseball's championship series that began in October and ended on November 1. It wasbe between the National League champions Los Angeles Dodgers and the American League champions Houston Astros. The Los Angeles Dodgers made their first appearance in a World Series since 1988 while the Astros made their first appearance since 2005 and their first as members of the American League. The Astros would beat the Dodgers in seven games to become world champions.
