Fraley Rogers, born in Brooklyn, NY in 1850, started his career at age 15 with the Brooklyn Resolutes in 1865, and also played for the Brooklyn Stars in 1869 and 1870. He made his National Association debut in 1872, becoming the regular right fielder for the Boston Red Stockings, who won the pennant with a 39-8 record. He came back for only a couple more games, in July, 1873 with the Red Stockings, going 4-for-11.
He died around the age of 31 in 1881. His brother was umpire Mort Rogers.
