J.A. Happ is a pitcher for the New York Yankees. He has also played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays and the Houston Astros.
Philadelphia Phillies[]
Happ was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the third round (92nd overall) of the 2004 MLB Draft.[1] From the 2007-2009 MLB seasons Happ was on again off again in the majors and made the starting rotation at some point in each of those seasons. 2009 was the first season in which he started the season in the starting rotation.
Houston Astros[]
On July 29, 2010, Happ was traded to the Houston Astros as part of the Phillies trade for pitcher Roy Oswalt.[2]
Toronto Blue Jays[]
On July 20, 2012, Happ was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays as part of a 10-player trade involving pitcher Francisco Cordero and outfielder Ben Francisco.[3]
