The Union Grounds was an enclosed baseball stadium, built in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in 1862 by Bill Cammeyer. It was a revolutionary development that allowed for paid admission and introduced the first regularly enclosed ballpark, hosting major clubs and influencing the game's evolution.It was home to the National Association of Baseball Players clubs from 1857 until 1870.
