Hi Soxrock. I've replied to your message on my talk page. Angela@fandom (talk) 06:16, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia and Wikia are run by two separate organizations, though there is overlap in the people involved, the software we use, and especially in our principles we use of openly-editable, freely-licensed community-run wikis. See Wikimedia for more information on how the two are related. Angela@fandom (talk) 22:10, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

The advertising bar is there in the old monobook skin because it was the least intrusive place to put it that still led to high enough click rates. Putting it on the left above the tool boxes would move the useful links too far away and putting it underneath them would lead to no one seeing the ads. However, in the new skins which you can choose in your preferences, like quartzslate and quartzsmoke, there is just one sidebar rather than 2 and only one small ad square instead of 4 ads down the side. Gary Sheffield (baseball) Edit

Ok. I changed the notice to a merge. The merge sounds ok with me. There doesn't seem a good reason to have two Gary Sheffield articles.

Since this is a baseball wiki, I don't think the descriptor, baseball, will ever be helpful. Fbdave 00:32, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi Soxrock, What are these seasonal articles you're planning? Give us a shout. Cheers. GrimGary 14:55, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
